Breast implant slipping out of place?

Kalie06-13-2003, 01:39 PMHi,

Last summer I had a mastectomy with reconstruction due to breast cancer. My implant is silicone (only approved for medical reasons now) and it has moved slightly out of place. I'm 26 and very active, so I think that my physical activity has contributed to this. I have already made an appt with my plastic surgeon, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. Anyone else have a breast implant slip out of place? How is this corrected? More surgery?SOUTHERN DIVA06-13-2003, 10:40 PMI have breast implants,I had one "slip out of place" a year ago.My plastic surgeon had to go back in and repair it.I have heard this is not all that uncommon.I returned to work using my rt.arm too soon after the surgery and I beleive this contributed to my problem.Good luck to you.
