CIN III/CIS
Air Force Vet Lisa Marie06-12-2003, 12:23 AMHello everyone!
I was diagnosed with CIN III/CIS about 2 months ago. What I don't understand is that I have always had relatively normal paps.(I had inflammation present one other time)I have had sympotoms for almost five years now. I have had wierd discharge, painful sex, painful pelvic exams and paps, all that great stuff! So why is it that I'm just now being diagnosed with something. I'm afraid this is something that has been there for awhile but was hard to detect. I get my biopsy results back from my leep cone in about a week. Also, I had severe hemorraging 2 days after the leep cone and lost ALOT of blood. I thought my insides were all falling out. I passed clot after clot.(gross!)I had to go back in for surgery after bleeddind very heavily for 8 hours! If anyone can relate or has any good info, please let me know!
Thanks,
LisaI am Tam06-12-2003, 10:05 PMI had a green discharge for about 3 years (guessing). I'll add a little note here that each time I went back to the clinic with the problem I would wait many months between visits.
I had been tested for STD's (which was rather unlikely). I was put on doxycylene twice - the first time for 5 days the second time for 10 days. I was put on metranodizole (sp?) twice because it was thought to be caused by trichomoniasis. (I did research on the net - it was the only thing for this symptom and I had to tell THEM to check for it. Then they tell me that's what it is!?) Obviously, it can't be trich because it wasn't cured! They were gonna put me on it a third time!! I just never picked up the prescription.
I finally asked about financial services at another clinic (I have no insurance) and saw a real ob/gyn (all the times I went to the other clinic they were ARNP's!). The result??? My Pap came back abnormal - mild dysplasia. So... then I had a colposcopy done - biopsy put me at moderate/severe dysplasia. Went in for the LEEP last Thursday (June 5). I got a call today from the doc's office on the results of the biopsy of the LEEP. Severe dysplasia. All this has happened since April 25th when I went in for my first appt. with the ob/gyn.
How can I be severe and the abnormalities were not picked up on previous pap smears at the other clinic?? (Both clinics use the same lab. The first clinic is in the hospital building and the second one is across the street from the hospital.)Hazelmoon2206-15-2003, 01:34 PMI am Tam, you had discharge for 3 years? or did you mean to type weeks, that totally freaked me out. I am onto my second week of it, can't imagine 3 years! you should have that checked! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gifI am Tam06-16-2003, 03:52 PMNo, no typo. It was years. Hence the being put on doxycyclene and metranodizole twice each!! As it turns out, it could be because of the dysplasia. When the discharge resulting from the LEEP clears up I will see if it indeed was from dysplasia if the green does not come back.
BTW, anyone else have green?? All the literature I've found says there are no symptoms for dysplasia, but perhaps there are some that happen that have never been noted?
