does this sound suspicious?
Ash1612-22-2003, 09:03 PMI am 16 years old, and i was a major sunbather and tanning bed fanatic for a few years. I stopped using a tanning bed about 8 months ago after usin them for only about 2 months. I have a mole on my arm (on the inner part-just above the forearm) and it was dark brown about a week ago and now it is a pinkish-red color and it has slightly grown in size and looks pretty red just underneath of it. almost like it's developing a sore. my mom wants me to get it checked if it don't get any better. I don't know if this poses any threat or not. Please let me know asap! thanx all!
~ashley~Saraly12-23-2003, 09:23 AMYou may have bumped or scratched it and it's irritated now. However, since it has changed in size I would suggest letting a dermatologist have a look at it. If it's in an area where it will be irritated all the time you should probably have it removed.
I'm glad to hear you're not sun bathing anymore!! Please use sunscreen when you need to be outside in the sun. Skin cancer is growing by leaps and bounds thsnks to our depleted ozone layer so you need to be very careful.
