Purple sore ... or?
njben01-04-2004, 09:30 AMHello,
I have this purple sore (that does not hurt) located (and please forgive the description) a little above my pelvic region and under where my oversized belly folds over (sort of under my belly where sunlight will never hit) basically my belly is always in contact with it. It has persisted for atleast a few weeks, but would never have noticed it until I noticed it in a full-length mirror. Basically, it is purplish in color, with a lesion that is purple and if I look REAL close I can notice that it is slightly elevated with a tiny indent in the middle. It is hardly raised at all ... pretty much flat, but upon close examination that can be noticed. The total size of that part of the lesion is about 1/4 inch. And then for about 1/2 inch out it is blochy and purple. From afar, it generally appears as a small skin ulcer ... the kind you would get from rubbing part of the skin too roughly for a period of time. There is no pain, no oozing, no crusting, no discharge of any kind. And there is no pain. I have never been a sunbather and never really worked outdoors. I am 30 years old.
