scratched mole

life for rent01-20-2004, 04:56 PMtwo days ago, my cat scratched my arm and caught the tip of a small, flat, pale brown mole. the scratch bled for a few seconds but is now healing, although i can still see a tiny mark/scar on the top of the mole. both the mole and the scratch are very small, it is completely painless and looks exactly the same, save for the tiny scar but i'm really paranoid about it and keep worrying that this will have damaged the mole or increased the risk of getting skin cancer from it...

can anyone reassure me?Saraly01-21-2004, 08:24 AMI think I would only be worried if it doesn't heal and continues bleeding beyond the normal time it would ordinarily take.AmandaRose02-13-2004, 01:50 PMDon't worry. I have actually shaved over moles on my legs before (several times) and I have been seeing a dermatologist for years, due to skin cancer and none of these moles I have shaved over have been suspicious looking to my doctor. Just don't make a habit out of it and you'll be fine.
