Leep results
michele197507-16-2004, 01:26 PMWell I just got a call from the doctors office about my leep results :rolleyes: They came back with some abnormalities and they want to do a follow-up pap in 3 months to be sure he got it all. She said hopefully they got it all since he took such a big piece and then he cauterized around that area. I'm so tired of getting bad news. I had a Leep done last summer for severe dysplasia...my biopsy from the Leep came back confirming the severe dysplasia (no cancer) BUT, my margins were NOT clear.
After my three month check-up (which you do every three months for a year anyways) it was normal...THEN my next two were abnormal (moderate dysplasia) Two weeks ago I had the Laser surgery done on my cervix....hopefully that is my LAST cervix surgery.
My DR. does NOT think that my dysplasia came back.....but, that it was NOT all taken out eith the Leep last summer....the edges are really burned with the Leep. Even though I did have a normal pap smear?
You will be fine...just follow up on ALL your appointments!
