CMML/Thalidomide/low platelets
fazio03-15-2005, 07:48 AMHi, I would like to know if anyone has been diagnosed with this rare Leukemia and treated with Thalidomide. My husband has it and just started this drug. His platelets have been really low(5 to 12) and has been receiving transfusions 3x a week. Any information would really be helpful. The Hematolologist says the next step is a transplant, but he is 69 and seems very dangerous and not guaranteed, although the disease itself seems quite hopeless too.
